Canoga Creek Conservancy
The Canoga Creek Conservancy exists to help understand, restore, conserve, protect, and enjoy
Canoga Creek and its watershed. To date we have (1) conserved and restored 40 acres of wetlands
and created 20 acres of warm season grass prairie; (2) worked with local Trout Unlimited chapter
to reintroduce Brook Trout to Canoga Creek; (3) worked with state and federal agencies to fund
long term monitoring of Canoga Creek; (4) begun to organize a more formal community
watershed citizens group, (5) engaged in USDA funded water quality and nutrient management
study, and (6) created a wildlife habitat corridor with two ponds and associated wetlands in an
erosion-prone section of a former crop field.  Please join us to continue this work.
